**The whole BDB entry:** n.pr.loc. home of Abimelek (Thes Add sub ארם) Ju 9:41 בָּארוּמָה, prob. = רוּמָה 2 K 23:36, cf. Jer LagOnomast. 146, 2nd ed. 178. It must have lain near Shechem; identified by MV al. with El ʿOrmah, 2 hours SE. from Shechem (van de VeldeReisen ii. 268), but this place not otherwise known; cf. Surveyii. 387.

וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב אֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ בָּארוּמָ֑ה וַיְגָ֧רֶשׁ זְבֻ֛ל אֶת־גַּ֥עַל וְאֶת־אֶחָ֖יו מִשֶּׁ֥בֶת בִּשְׁכֶֽם׃

*Word for word:* and he.dwelt Abimelech at.(the) Arumah and he.drove.out Zebul (et) Gaal and (et) brothers his from dwelling at Shechem

*JPS 1917:* And Abimelech dwelt at Arumah; and Zebul drove out Gaal and his brethren, that they should not dwell in Shechem.
