SchwallyIdiot. 91 SchulthLex.);— laud, praise God (י׳): Impf. 3 mpl. sf. יְשַׁבְּח֑וּנְךָ ψ 63:4 (‖ בֵּרַךְ); Imv. fs. שַׁבְּחִי 147:12, mpl. sf. שַׁבְּח֫וּהוּ 117:1 (both ‖ הִלֵּל); his works, Impf. 3 ms. יְשַׁבַּח 145:4 (‖ הִגִּיד). commend, congratulate, the dead, Inf. abs. שַׁבֵּחַ Ec 4:2 (Ges§ 113 gg; c. מִן comp.); mirth, as best thing, Pf. 1 s. שִׁבַּחְתִּי Ec 8:15. boast of (בְּ): Inf. cstr. הִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ ψ 106:47 = 1 Ch 16:35, 𝔊 (ἐλ)καυχᾶσθαι ἐν.
