### In the lessons

In everyday life and safety, walking in bare feet on hot sand, glass or stony ground can hurt; and «with your bare hands» means without tools or gloves. In science, trees are bare in winter when they have lost their leaves, and bare soil can be washed away by rain. In nature safety, an animal baring its teeth is warning you to back away. «The bare minimum» means the least you can do.
