## In Jewish tradition

Interpretation: The rabbis took the verse about cursing the king in your bedchamber as a warning that nothing said in secret is truly hidden, and that careless words can come back to harm you. In the primary lessons: Found in old stories, fairy tales, the Bible and history about kings and queens: «the king's bedchamber». It gives the reader a grand, old-fashioned feeling. «Lady of the Bedchamber» is a title for a queen's helper.
