# bypath

noun

«bypath» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## In Jewish tradition

It stands for crooked, uneven ways of life, opposed to the "ancient paths" of the Torah.

**Interpretation.** Jeremiah says the people left the old, firm road of God's commandments for untrodden side tracks. The tradition reads this as turning to idols and false ways.
