### In the lessons

In science and cooking, heating sugar is a change that cannot be reversed: white sugar melts and turns into brown caramel. In everyday life caramel is in desserts, sauces, sweets and ice cream. Safety: hot caramel is extremely hot and sticks to skin, so only make it with an adult.
