### In the lessons

In stories and everyday talk it shows a huge number: countless stars, countless times. In maths, careful: the stars in the sky can be estimated, and «countless» is an exaggeration meaning very many, not a real number. Phrases: countless times, countless people, countless stars.

### Note

Comes before a plural noun (countless times). Not comparable. Similar: innumerable, numberless, lots and lots. In a maths problem it does not give a number: you cannot calculate with «countless».
