## In Jewish tradition

It means loud noise. In Job it is God's thunder, and in Zephaniah it is the sound of the city's fall.

**Interpretation.** Thunder is read as God's voice, showing His power. Zephaniah's crashing is the coming "day of the LORD," a day of judgment.
