# differently

adverb (differently, more differently)

«differently» in the English dictionary: everyday — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## Everyday

In a way that is not the same as another way or as before. [tree →](https://mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/school/D/differently/#m1)

### In the lessons

In maths, «solve it differently» means find another method, which also helps check the answer; people may think differently and still both be right. In everyday life and friendship, people look, speak and believe differently, and we respect that. Phrases: «do things differently», «think differently», «differently from», «act differently».
