### Note

Thing counted. Trap: the plural «does» looks like the verb «does» but is said «doze». Homophone: «dough» (for bread).

## In Jewish tradition

A female deer; here a graceful, loving animal used in a poem about a beloved wife.

**Interpretation.** Tradition reads Proverbs 5:19 as praise of faithful married love, and the Talmud also reads the "doe" as the Torah, which should delight a person always.

### Examples

- A lovely hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; with her love be thou ravished always. (Writings PRO.5.19, JPS 1917) [tree →](https://mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/judaism/D/doe/#x1)

### Note
