### In the lessons

In health and safety lessons the right dose is written on the packet and given by an adult; taking more than the dose can be dangerous. In maths problems doses are about measuring millilitres and times. Phrases: «the right dose», «a double dose», «take a dose», «dose of medicine».

### Note

Countable. Pronounced DOHSS. Safety: only adults should give medicine; never take medicine or vitamins on your own, even if they look like sweets. Maths: «5 ml three times a day» means 15 ml a day.
