### In the lessons

In everyday life and chores, wet washing goes from the washing machine into the dryer or onto the washing line. In safety lessons, never play inside a dryer or washing machine; never use a hair dryer near water, like by the bath or sink, because of electric shock; and the lint (fluff) filter must be cleaned, as fluff can catch fire. ### Note

Both spellings exist: dryer and drier. Most people use «dryer» for the machine and «drier» for «more dry», but both are accepted. Some clothes say «Do not tumble dry» on the label.
