# entrenched

adjective

«entrenched» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## In Jewish tradition

It means a besieged or fortified city, as in the Psalm. God shows kindness even when a person is shut in with enemies all around.

**Interpretation.** Commentators suggest the psalmist felt as if hemmed in, and found God's care in the tight place. The verse is read as thanks for rescue in danger.
