Plural: entries (change y to ies). Verb: enter. In maths: entry fees are multiplied by the number of people; a missing table entry must be calculated. "No entry" means you must not go in — a safety rule.

## In Jewish tradition

It means a doorway or gateway, such as that of a city or the Temple. In Ezekiel it is the entrance of the gates of the future Temple.

**Interpretation.** Ezekiel's vision of the Temple has exact measures for its gates and rooms. Tradition reads this as a picture of a future holy place. The city gate was where judges sat and wisdom called out.
