### In the lessons

At school teachers give feedback on writing, often as «two stars and a wish» or «what went well, even better if». Pupils give peer feedback to each other: kind, specific and helpful. In everyday life apps ask for feedback with stars or a smiley face. In assemblies, the microphone may squeal with feedback. ### Note

Uncountable: say «some feedback» or «a piece of feedback», not «a feedback» or «feedbacks». Feedback can be good or bad; good feedback still points to next steps. «Constructive feedback» means criticism meant to help.
