### In the lessons

In science, some things glow because they are hot (embers, a light bulb filament), and some animals glow by themselves (fireflies, some sea creatures — bioluminescence). Glow-in-the-dark toys store light and give it back slowly. In stories, glow creates a warm or mysterious mood. Phrases: glow in the dark, glow with pride, the glow of the fire, a warm glow, glow-worm.
