He/she/it goes. «going to» and «gonna» show a plan for the future, not movement. Trap: «and he goes» in chat means «and he said». «have a go» means try; «have a go at someone» means tell them off. «she's gone» can mean she left or, gently, that she died: read the story around it.

## In Jewish tradition

In these texts "go" often means to set out on a journey or to travel with a purpose, as with the patriarchs and the Exodus. "Let my people go" means to set free.

**Interpretation.** Tradition reads God's first words to Abraham, "Go forth", as the start of the Jewish journey. Leaving Egypt is the central story of freedom that Jews retell at Passover.
