Pronounced her-BIV-uh-rus (in US English the h is often silent: er-BIV-or-us). Noun: herbivore. «A herbivorous» (UK) vs «an herbivorous» (US, when the h is silent). Pandas are mostly herbivorous but sometimes eat small animals.
