### Meaning

1. lively, cheerful and full of fun.
2. (euphemism, school reports, parents) naughty, noisy or hard to control.
3. (of horses) lively and hard to manage.

### In the lessons

Positive in stories but in school reports and talk about children it can softly hint at bad behaviour; everyday, all regions, especially UK.

### Examples

### Note

Trap: in school reports it may be a soft complaint about behaviour. «In high spirits» means very happy. Plain words: lively; or naughty.
