In everyday life, families stay in hotels on trips; a hotel has a reception desk, rooms with keys or key cards, and often a restaurant or pool. In maths problems, hotels come up with prices per night and floors and room numbers. In safety: learn where the fire exits are, and stay with your adults. In Australia and New Zealand, «hotel» can also mean a pub. Phrases: stay at a hotel, check in, check out, hotel room, book a hotel.
