## In Jewish tradition

Ice appears as one of God's wonders of nature, formed by Him, beyond human power, and part of His control over the weather.

**Interpretation.** God's questions to Job about the ice teach that the world's workings are God's and that humans cannot fully understand them. The psalm praises Him for ice and cold as well as for warmth.
