### In the lessons

In science, a mirror makes an image that is reversed left to right; lenses make images bigger or smaller. In maths, a reflection or rotation of a shape makes its image. In online safety, never share images of yourself with strangers, and remember images can be edited or fake. In stories, writers use words to create images in the reader's mind. Phrases: «mirror image», «search for images», «the image of» (looks just like).

## In Jewish tradition

God's image means something like His likeness, which is a special quality in humans. A graven image is a carved figure that is forbidden.

**Interpretation.** Tradition reads "in the image of God" as meaning every human life is precious and holy. It also forbids making images to worship.
