### Note

Opposite: relevant. Spelling trap: irRELevant (r-r-e-l-e-v-a-n-t), not «irrevelant». In maths, spotting irrelevant numbers is a key skill: «Sam has 3 red pens and is 9 years old; how many pens?» — his age is irrelevant.
