### Meaning

(euphemism, jargon) a bug or problem in software or a product that the makers know about but have not fixed.

### In the lessons

Used by tech companies in release notes and help pages to admit a fault while making it sound under control. Register: jargon, technical; all regions.

### Examples

- The battery drain is a known issue and will be fixed soon.
- Release notes: Known issues — the game may crash on older phones.
- Chat: they called it a «known issue» like that makes it better

### Note

It means «yes, it is broken, and we know». It does not mean fixed. Plain words: an unfixed bug.
