### In the lessons

In everyday life, lint collects in a tumble dryer's lint filter, in pockets and on dark clothes. In safety, lint in a dryer filter can catch fire, so it must be cleaned out. Phrases: "lint roller", "lint filter", "pocket lint", "belly button lint".

Uncountable: "some lint", "a bit of lint", not "a lint". In computing, a "linter" is a program that checks code; that is a different use. Not to be mixed up with "lent" or "lentil".
