### In the lessons

In science lessons: magnetism is a non-contact force (it works without touching, even through paper, water or a table); like poles (north and north) repel, opposite poles (north and south) attract; the Earth's magnetism makes compass needles point north. Magnetism is used in fridge magnets, scrap yard cranes, speakers, motors and maglev trains. Phrases: «the force of magnetism», «Earth's magnetism», «personal magnetism».
