# microcosm

noun

«microcosm» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## In Jewish tradition

In Sefer Yetzirah it means the human body and soul, which are seen as a small copy of the universe (the macrocosm).

**Interpretation.** Jewish mystics read the book as saying that the world, the year and the human body all match each other. They taught that understanding one helps you understand the others.
