Trap: to find one kind, subtract the other kinds from the total. 2 1/2 means 2 + 1/2, not 2 × 1/2. ## In Jewish tradition A "mixed multitude" means a crowd of non-Israelites of many peoples who left Egypt along with the Israelites. **Interpretation.** Tradition sees them as Egyptians and others who joined Israel.
