### Note

Usually carries no number. Names of people tell who owns which amount. Trap: keep track of which name has which number. Names of people and places start with a capital letter. Safety: do not tell your full name and address to strangers online.

## In Jewish tradition

Parents and places are named for events, as when Marah is named for bitter water, and the name fits the story.

**Interpretation.** Tradition holds that a name shows a person's nature, and out of respect Jews say "HaShem," meaning "the Name," for God's holy name.
