### In the lessons

In maths problems "nobody" means zero people. In stories, "nobody" can show loneliness or a mystery. In safety: if nobody is around to help, call the emergency number. Phrases: nobody else, nobody knows, nobody's perfect.

### Note

Same as "no one". Use a singular verb: "Nobody is here", "Nobody knows". Do not double the negative: say "Nobody came", not "Nobody didn't come". In a maths problem, "nobody" = 0 people.
