### In the lessons

In everyday life it is where you take a doctor's prescription. In the UK it is also «chemist's», in the US «drugstore». In safety lessons: only take medicine from a pharmacy with an adult's help, and follow the label. Phrases: «the pharmacy counter», «study pharmacy».

### Note

Plural: pharmacies. «ph» says «f»: FAR-ma-see. A person who works there is a pharmacist. «Chemist» in UK can mean the shop or a pharmacist; in US «chemist» means a scientist.
