### Meaning

1. A razorback is a wild or half-wild pig with a sharp ridge of hair on its back, found in the southern USA.
2. The Razorbacks is the name of some sports teams, like the University of Arkansas teams.
3. A razorback can also be a whale (a fin whale) or a sharp hill ridge.

### In the lessons

In maths: a word of the story only, an animal or a team name; numbers about points or games matter. In science: wild pigs can harm crops and be dangerous. In everyday life (USA): college sports fans cheer for the Razorbacks.

### Examples

- The Razorbacks scored 21 points in the first half.
- A razorback was seen near the farm.
- The Razorbacks won 8 of their 12 games.
- How many more points did the Razorbacks score?
- A razorback has a ridge of stiff hair along its back.
- Fans in red cheered for the Razorbacks.
- Keep away from a wild razorback; it can charge.

### Note

As a team name it carries no clue; the numbers about points or games matter. Trap: do not count the name as one more animal. A team name has a capital letter (the Razorbacks). Safety: wild pigs can be dangerous; never approach one.
