### In the lessons

In maths, a value «satisfies» an equation or rule when it makes it true — check by putting it back in. In everyday life «satisfied customers» are happy with what they bought. ## In Jewish tradition

In the Torah, to eat and be satisfied is to have enough food, and it is a blessing from God.

**Interpretation.** This verse is the root of the Grace after Meals (Birkat Hamazon). Tradition says that when we are full we must thank God for the land.
