## In Jewish tradition

Seven is the number of the days of creation, with the seventh day as the Sabbath, and it appears everywhere in the festivals and offerings.

**Interpretation.** Tradition sees seven as the number of completeness and holiness. The Sefer Yetzirah ties it to the seven Double letters, the seven planets and the seven days.
