A number word: read it as 6. Trap: it may be the number of groups, not the number of things. An insect has 6 legs; half a dozen is 6. Order word «sixth» (6th). Six is even: 6 = 3 + 3.

## In Jewish tradition

In the Torah six is the number of the working days of the week, with the seventh day set apart as the Sabbath. It also counts the six branches of the Tabernacle candlestick.

**Interpretation.** Tradition links the six days of creation and the six working days. Sefer Yetzirah speaks of six directions that are sealed by God's name.
