### Note

Countable noun. Opposite of solvent (money) is «insolvent». Do not confuse «solvent» with «solution» (the mixture) or «soluble» (able to dissolve). Water is sometimes called the «universal solvent» because it dissolves so many things, though not everything (not oil).
