# soundness

noun

«soundness» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## In Jewish tradition

In Psalms and Isaiah it means bodily health. Its absence stands for sickness caused by sin or punishment.

**Interpretation.** Isaiah's picture of Israel as covered in wounds is read as the whole nation's moral sickness. Tradition holds that repentance brings healing.
