### In the lessons

In feelings and wellbeing lessons, children learn what being stressed feels like (tummy ache, tight chest, short temper, trouble sleeping) and ways to cope: talking to someone, breathing slowly, moving, breaking work into small steps. In phonics and reading, stressed syllables help you say words right. Phrases: «stressed out», «feel stressed», «stressed about», «stressed the importance of».

«Stressed» (worried) and «stressful» (causing worry: a stressful day) are different. A fun word fact: «stressed» spelled backwards is «desserts». Everyone gets stressed sometimes; it is normal, but feeling stressed all the time is worth talking about.
