# subjection

noun (no plural)

«subjection» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## In Jewish tradition

It means making free people into slaves again. The text condemns this.

**Interpretation.** The tradition reads these verses as a protest against breaking the law about freeing Hebrew servants. God's word sets servants free and does not allow them to be taken back. In the primary lessons: in stories, a land or people brought under the rule of a king, prince or army, made to obey
