### Meaning

1. (euphemism, humorous) the men's or boys' toilet.
2. (literal, rare) a bedroom for small boys.

### In the lessons

A cute, coy, humorous way for adults (even grown men) to say they are going to the toilet, in all English-speaking countries; it avoids the word «toilet». Sounds childish on purpose.

### Examples

- (dinner) Excuse me, I need to visit the little boys' room.
- (dad joke) "Where's Dad?" "Off to the little boys' room."
- (chat) brb little boys room
- (party) He snuck off to the little boys' room during the speeches.
- (sitcom) "I'll just pop to the little boys' room."
- (literal) The little boys' room has bunk beds and a toy box.
- (nursery) The little boys' room is next to the play area.

### Note

Trap: an adult saying it is joking, not small. Note the apostrophe after s: boys'. The women's version is «the little girls' room».
