# troubler

noun

«troubler» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## In Jewish tradition

Achan (Achar) was called the troubler of Israel because he took forbidden goods and brought defeat. Ahab also called Elijah this.

**Interpretation.** Tradition reads Achar's story as a warning that one person's sin can harm everyone. Elijah's reply to Ahab is that the real troubler is the king who abandoned God.
