### In the lessons

Used about books, signs, computer work and checking writing: a teacher may circle a typographical error. Tells the reader the mistake is in the typing, not in the person's knowledge. Phrases: «typographical error», «typographical mistake».

### Note

Long word; the short informal form is «typo». Say ty-po-GRAPH-i-cal. In maths problems a typographical error in a number (a missing 0) changes the value a lot, so check numbers carefully.
