# vidtvorant

noun (plural: vidtvorants; Mova technical neologism)

«vidtvorant» in the English dictionary: everyday — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

## Everyday

A typed model designed to rapidly reproduce a system’s behavior or selected observable aspects of it within a defined domain. It describes relationships between inputs, states, results, and observable effects. It may be expressed through mathematical formulas, logical rules, executable code, or a combination of these. Its subject may be a function, algorithm, software component, learning process, another model, or an entire system. ### In the lessons

Controlled approximation is an integral feature of a vidtvorant: its design permits bounded deviations from the original system’s behavior in exchange for speed, simplicity, and lower computational cost. Such approximate reproduction is desirable because it enables a vidtvorant to serve as a fast emulator for repeated exploratory runs. An error allowance does not require the model to make errors: under suitable conditions, an ideal vidtvorant may reproduce every specified observation exactly within its domain. Each vidtvorant specifies its subject, admissible inputs and states, observable results, assumptions, preserved properties, and error and performance profile. Error is assessed using explicitly defined criteria; numerical values, discrete decisions, state changes, and error outcomes may require different comparison methods. A defect is a violation of the declared conformance profile. Proven properties, measured results, and unverified assumptions are identified separately. Vidtvorants support mathematical modeling, hypothesis testing, optimization searches, investigation of learning processes, and accelerated testing. Periodic comparison with the original system allows their parameters, applicability limits, and error estimates to be refined. A single system may have several vidtvorants with different domains, observations, and profiles of speed, accuracy, and computational cost. A metasystem may select and combine them according to the task, accounting for compatible assumptions, preservation of required properties, and error propagation.

### Examples

- A lightweight vidtvorant can emulate selected solver outputs for exploratory runs, with its error and speed checked against the original solver. [tree →](https://mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/english/V/vidtvorant/#x1)

### Note

Coined in the Mova project, from Ukrainian «відтворант», derived from «відтворювати» (to reproduce or recreate). This is a project-specific technical neologism, not a claim of established general-English usage.
