## In Jewish tradition

Made tired, or worn out from trying. In the Prophets, God says people have "wearied" Him, meaning they tried His patience by their words and deeds.

**Interpretation.** The prophets' words are read as a rebuke: people made God "weary" by wrong behavior and false offerings.
