### Note

Always written with a capital W: Welshman. Plural: Welshmen. Many people now prefer "Welsh person" or "Welsh people" when speaking of everyone. Homophone trap: "Welsh" sounds like the verb "welch" or "welsh" (to fail to pay a debt), which some Welsh people find offensive; avoid that verb.
