Read everything before deciding. «the whole» is the total of all the parts. Trap: «whole» and «hole» (an opening) sound the same. «whole» goes with countable things (the whole cake); «all» goes with both (all the milk).

## In Jewish tradition

"Whole-hearted" means fully devoted and sincere, as said of Noah and in the command to be whole with God.

**Interpretation.** Tradition reads "whole" as integrity: serving God without doubt or division, and Noah is "whole" in his generation.
