### In the lessons

In geography and science lessons yaks come up in mountain habitats and adaptations: long thick hair, big lungs and a strong heart for thin air. People in the Himalayas use yaks to carry loads, and get milk, butter, meat, wool and dung for fuel from them. In everyday informal talk, «stop yakking» means stop chattering.
